Hydrobromic Acid

Hydrobromic Acid is a colorless gas with corrosive content. Its exposure causes chocking and severe burns. This combustible gas tends to produce fume when comes in contact with moist air. It is easily soluble in water. It has 122 degree centigrade boiling point and its melting point is -11 degree centigrade. it has pungent smell which is quite strong by nature. As a suitable chemical intermediate, this acid is used as disinfecting factor. It is also required to formulate different organic compounds. This acid also serves as a strong catalyst and reagent in different chemical reactions. Its anhydrous form is toxic and it is always stored in cylinder at high pressure.
