Benzyl Alochol

Also referred as aromatic alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol appears as colorless fluid at normal temperature. It has mild fragrance. It does not easily dilute in water. It readily dissolves in different organic solvents that include acetone, benzene, ether and methanol. Density of this chemical is 1.044 grams/cubic centimeter. Its melting point and boiling point are -15.2 degree C and 205.3 degree C respectively. As a dielectric solvent, this chemical is used as an important part in dielectrophoresis method. Its 10% concentrated form is used as a suitable local anesthetic factor. Application of this alcohol can also be noticed in the formulation of personal care products like bathing bar, skin lotions and shampoos.
